LNCT has prepared this compilation of WHO resources related to health budgeting and public financial management. These resources include reports, road maps, case studies, and e-learning materials, and are useful for Gavi transitioning countries.

Health Budgeting

Repository of Health Budgets: The repository of health budgets consolidates open source information on finance laws and related documents applicable to the health sector for more than 100 countries. It is a one-stop shop for researchers and policy-makers interested in analysis and monitoring of health budgets.

Mapping of Health Budget Classifications: The country mapping of health budget classifications provides an overview of the types of budget classifications used to present recurrent health expenditure in more than 100 countries for those interested in monitoring budget reforms in the health sector.

Budget Matters for Health: Policy brief on the role of public budgeting. Other cross-cutting papers are being developed and are planned to be released in 2019.

• Case Studies on Process and Impact of Program Budgeting in the Health Sector: These are still under development and are planned to be released in 2019.

e-Learning and Webinars: e-Learning course on health financing; new module on PFM-health is under development, as well as a webinar series on budgeting issues coming 2019.
